The Garden Villa
Separated from the main house and the courtyard house is- "The Garden Villa”.
This property is completely self-contained with its own sheltered terrace by the entrance and two additional sun terraces. To aid easy access to the property a slope has been installed with wooden balustrades. The upper terrace itself has a wicker twin seater sofa with matching coffee table and a teak dining table and chairs for two people, ideal for Al Fresco dining.
This Villa has been built in a traditional Canarian design with open plan Lounge and dining area. The large window, with fly screen and shutters, overlooks the gardens and the mountain range toward the rear of the property. There is a vaulted-beam ceiling throughout and fans have been fitted to circulate the air during the hotter months.
The Kitchen is sufficiently roomy to organise the most lavish of meals. It has also been equipped with all modern conveniences. There is an electric oven, and touch screen electric hob. Tucked behind matching doors there is a fridge next to the oven, a large microwave to the right and a dishwasher to the left of the sink unit. All cupboards are filled with plate settings, glassware, saucepans and serving dishes to serve four persons.
Through the Archway from the Lounge is the spacious king-size bedroom. The pale colour scheme of creams and plums gives this room a tranquil romantic feel. The antique style wardrobe, side cabinets and chest of draws have been hand painted to complete the ambience of this room.
The bathroom has tasteful ceramic tiling throughout with a large walk-in shower unit, wc, and a granite surface to the sink unit with plenty of storage cupboards underneath.
Additional Sun Terrace infront of the “Garden Villa” with a purpose built Pergola over a Picnic Table for Al Fresco dining. There are two BBQ’s, one Gas and an original Canarian charcoal BBQ. There is automatic lighting throughout the gardens during the evening and lamps on most garden walls.
This lower garden pathway weaves between Palm and Yucca trees, below the swimming pool and ends up in a quiet corner with a carved stone seat that overlooks the barranco toward the Ocean.
The swimming pool is similar to an ‘infinity pool’ with fabulous, uninterrupted views across the barranco directly down to the coastline beaches of El Medano. It is fully heated all year round and is controlled by both electric and also solar heating units. Normally the temperature is kept at a balmy 28C – 30C!. The Swimming Pool and Gardens are fully illuminated at night.
